7 Steps to Shopping Greener
Over the next few days I am going to take a look at ways we can shop greener. Shopping is the easiest way to quite literally put your money where your mouth is as far as the environment is concerned, and it sends a clear signal to businesses that green is what people want. So here are seven simple steps to more eco-friendly shopping that you can start using today, with no special training required: Buy less stuff.
Buy used.
Buy recycled.
Buy local.
Buy organic.
Buy fair trade.
Buy products with less packaging.
These are the rules I personally try to apply when I am shopping. It takes a bit of practise but once you know what you are looking for it gets much easier. Over the next few days I will look at each step in more detail and give you some helpful links to get you started with shopping green. |
